BRIGHTON, Colorado – November 22, 2013 – Watermill Express Donates to Make-A-Wish Foundation

Posted on Updated on

BRIGHTON, Colorado – November 22, 2013 – Watermill Express, the nation’s largest drive-up vendor of pure drinking water, donated $6,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Rio Grande Valley.

Watermill Express along with the Make-A-Wish Foundation partnered up to help make a young boy’s wish come true.  Tino, a 6-year old from Harlingen, Texas who suffers from acute lymphoid leukemia, wanted to meet Mickey Mouse.  Through the donation from Watermill Express to Make-A-Wish, his dream will come true.  Timo and his family will visit Disney World in Orlando, Florida, December 3rd – 9th.

“There are no words to express the gratitude the Rio Grande Valley Chapter of Make-A-Wish has for Watermill Express,” said Make-A-Wish Director Ava Sandlin.  “This donation meant so much more, as it served as a powerful public awareness tool for our chapter of Make-A-Wish.  We are in a smaller market and can’t rely on the donations of large corporations that other major cities receive.  The donation and wish fulfillment that was made possible thanks to Watermill Express will hopefully touch others in the Valley and help our chapter to grow and provide more wishes and help to children in need.  Watermill Express has shown again that it is truly a company that cares about the community.”

The Make-A-Wish Foundation has changed the lives of children with life-threatening conditions by granting their “wishes”.  The simple act of giving has had a life changing impact on not only the child but their family and those involved in the organization.

Watermill Express raised the $6000 by donating a portion of merchandise sales from its grand opening events in the Rio Grande Valley.
